October is Domestic Abuse and Violence Awareness Month, and it's a good time to stop and think about the victims and survivors. Chances are that you know someone who has been, or continues to be, a victim of domestic abuse.

If you are interested in promoting awareness of domestic violence check out The Domestic Violence Awareness Project at http://dvam.vawnet.org/index.php. They have a great collection of resources for information and education, as well as community projects.
